Hi everyone, my name is Robbie

How long have you been playing golf

Your making me feel old now, about 34 years!

How long have you been coaching

I've always had a thirst for developing my golf since I was 12 years old. I started out coaching junior golfers at primary schools in 1998, so 20 years or thereabouts.

What do you love most about Moore Park Golf

Moore Park Golf's location is key, it's central to Sydney and only a few minutes from the Entertainment Quarter. It has recently redeveloped its driving range, which looks incredible. The golf course is also a great challenge. I remember playing on the course in the NSW Open in 2006 and it's only got better from then.

What is your favourite hole and why

Definitely the par 4 on the 18th hole, it's one of the strongest finishing holes in all of Sydney.

Do you have a particular star pupil

I have a number ranging in all ages and abilities but I particularly take pride in those that I have helped out as beginning social driving range visitors who are now established club players.

We have definitely shared all the ups and downs golf can throw at you!

What is your most memorable golfing moment

Easily playing in the 2006 Australian Open.

How would you best describe your coaching style

Empowering and engaging. I aim to make the lesson participant understand what it is they do and what they need to do to improve whilst having some fun along the way.

What is the best piece of advice you would give someone wanting to play golf

Jump straight in and try it! It can be very addictive but recognise it's probably the most challenging game you will ever encounter.
