Coaching Staff
The Moore Park School of Golf has seven teaching professionals who are fully accredited to the Australian Professional Golfers Association (PGA) and between them have over 130 years of teaching experience.
For the benefit of prospective clients, below is a profile of each teacher. Each profile page has details on qualifications, specialisations and booking details:
GILLIAN RAE
Gillian is a AAA Rated PGA Member with 14 years coaching experience. Touring Pro - successfully competing on tour from 1998 with a best finish of 6th place.Gillian has attended many seminars both in Australia and overseas, and developed many skills capable of assisting golfers of any age and ability.
LORIEN SCOTT
Lorien is a AAA-Rated PGA Member with 10 years coaching experience. Nominated as NSW Coach of the Year in 2006, 2008 and 2009.
Lorien has been fortunate enough to coach on the biggest international tournaments including The US Open, The British Open, The USPGA Championships and The Australian Open.
Lorien is an enthusiastic golf instructor who shares the passion his students have for the game of golf and their own game.
MAX FORREST
Max is a AA-Rated PGA Member and British PGA Member with over 30 years coaching experience.
Max is both a coaching and playing profession, his teaching expertise has come from around the world including England, Europe, USA and Asia.
Max's main strength is understanding the needs of learners and helping them succeed.
CHRIS HOWE
Chris is a AA-Rated PGA Member and British PGA Member with 14 years coaching experience.
Chris successfully competed in regional and national events in the UK and gained a full playing card on the Euro-pro circuit during 2002-2004.
Chris possesses a strong passion for coaching and has developed and implemented ladies, senior and junior programs along with teaching elite players.
NICOLE MCCONNELL
Nicole is a AA-Rated PGA Member with 12 years coaching experience.
Nicole began her coaching career, here at Moore Park Golf and has competed in major tournaments since 2002.
Nicole specialises in ladies clinics and tuition for beginner golfers and has comprehensive experience teaching children from as young as four years old.
RAMON KESUR
Ramon is an AA-Rated PGA Member with over 20 years coaching experience. Ramon had added to his teaching skills by learning from some of the best coaches in the world including Rick Smith, Hank Haney, Gary Edwin and Peter Lonard.
Ramon has accumulated a vast amount of experience in teaching beginners, groups, juniors as well as senior golfers.
RICK L'ESTRANGE
Rick is an A-Rated PGA Member with over 42 years coaching experience. Rick spent over 20 years teaching in country NSW & ACT, where he introduced golf to over 142 junior golf schools.
Rick has also managed to win the 1994 Senior NSW Open, 1995 Senior Australian Open and 1995 West Coast Australian Masters.
DARREN GOLSBY
Darren is an AAA-Rated member of the Australian PGA with 12 years teaching experience, not just in Australia, but worldwide. He has been taught through the Australian PGA by some of the best golf instructors that the world of golf has to offer.
