Instructional Programs and Classes

There are a number of regular courses and classes run by the Moore Park School of Golf, including mixed group and women's beginner courses as well as kids school holiday courses.

Adult Group Courses

For those looking for a more relaxed approach to learning golf, we offer adult mixed or women's group courses. Group courses involve three separate lessons on consecutive weeks and cover all aspects of the game.

Group courses are available for beginners and intermediate golfers and are a great way of meeting new people and new golfing partners. Golf clubs and balls are all provided. Bookings are essential to (02) 9663 1064.

Beginners Courses

The Beginners Course is designed to give you the basic fundamentals of golf, covering each discipline (full swing, chipping, pitching, putting and bunker play). By the end of Level 3 you will have the basic skills and confidence to go on to the golf course and start playing. There is a maximum of 8 students per class.

Women's Courses

These Level 1 or Level 2 courses are designed for women, offering an easy pathway to learn the game of golf in the company of other female beginners. The program operates over three stages and finishes with social golf outings and fun events. There is a maximum of 8 students per class.

Ladies Practice Hour

Go through the fundamentals of the swing on the Moore Park Golf Driving Range. These one-off, one hour classes are designed for women with on-course experience.

Women's On-Course

These one-off, 90 minute classes are designed for women with on-course experience. They cover course management, club and shot selection, rules and etiquette in a friendly environment. There is a maximum number of 4 students per class.

Kids Term programs

Moore Park School of Golf development programs cater for children aged from four to twelve years of age. The stages of our programs have been tailored by our professional golf instructors to suit different ages and abilities. Your child will not only learn to play golf, they will also have the opportunity to interact with other children at a similar level.

The junior programs are an affordable positive step towards nurturing your child's interest in golf. Bookings are essential to (02) 9663 1064.

Pee Wee School Term Program - for 3-5 year olds

The Pee Wee School Term Program is designed for children aged 3-5 years. Classes run for 30 minutes each with a maximum of 5 students per class. The Pee Wee program offers a fun environment that introduces youngsters to the wonderful world of golf. It incorporates teaching techniques that stimulate young minds to quickly learn the basic skills and techniques needed to hit a golf ball. Each class focuses on the fundamentals of the swing, basic rules, etiquette and the importance of being responsible and safe at all times.

• Wednesday 2 May, 4.00 pm - 4.30 pm
• Sunday 6 May, 11.00 am - 11.30 am, or 11.30 am - 12.00 noon

Junior Term Program for 6+ years: Birdies, Eagles and Bears

The Junior Term program is designed for children ages 6+ years, dividing into Birdies, Eagles and Bears depending on their age and experience. Classes run for one hour and have a maximum of 8 students.

Junior Birdies is aimed at the junior golfer aged 6 to 10 years old. It is specifically designed to create confident young golfers and encourage them to see golf as a life-long sport. Each Junior will learn the basics in a relaxed and fun environment with a strong emphasis on interactive learning through target based games.

Junior Eagles is designed to sharpen skills and broaden the child’s golf knowledge. The thinking and planning of the game is introduced. Learning rules and etiquette on the course whilst improving their ball striking skills is paramount to the learning phase once basic skills have been achieved.

Junior Bears will learn to put all their shots to work. Video and more in depth technique will be applied and tested regularly. Pre-shot routines will be introduced with an overall focus on preparing for on-course golf. Juniors will have a sound knowledge of each aspect of the game and learning to apply this knowledge to the course is the objective.

Junior Golf Days

Junior Golf Days are designed for children aged 6–12, of all standards. There is a maximum of 10 students per class.

Junior Holiday Camp for Beginners

This course is designed for children aged 6 to 10 of all standards. There is a maximum of 10 students per class.

Pee Wee Camp

This Camp is designed for children aged 3 to 5 and runs for two consecutive days. There is a maximum of 5 students per class.
